Times Language Academy or TLA is a newly established language development center located in Yala province, the southernmost of Thailand. With the ambition and passion to extend the opportunity for people in community in the deep south of Thailand to enhance their foreign language proficiency as well as the conducive environment in language learning. Times Language Academy is basically run in accordance of the social-objective driven academy where opportunities of people including kids, young, adults, students and professionals in pursuing higher level of skills and competency is the highest focus.
TLA is initially led by a group of Malaysian universities alumnus, mainly graduated from Albukhary International University in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia, gathering to contribute a language academy which focusing primarily on foreign languages such as English, Malay and Arabic, as well as the learning community for language enhancement where people, students and professionals can perform and develop their skills and capabilities through various types of language activities and programs.
As a newly established academy, Times Language Academy or TLA has first settled a program “Fardu-ien English Summer Camp” for local students between age 7-14 years old. This program aimed to provide conducive learning activities on Islamic based lessons for kids through using English as a medium language in conducting activities. The program was successfully completed with the full support of communities and parents who plan their children for English proficiency while at the same time living in the Islamic environment.
In addition, over 95% and it is a major part of this success were teachers in this program who recently graduated from School of Education, Albukhary International University. With the quality of their professional qualification and experience in childhood and elementary education, this is to take credit for all teachers as well as Albukhary International University for the achieving the quality enhancement in education.
Furthermore, in the near future, TLA plans to open language comprehensive courses and learning space for all type of learners to create, develop and upskill their capabilities in foreign language proficiency and Islamic required skills in holistic framework such as Islamic English education and Qiraati (Quran practicing class), public speaking community, four-skills English competency, English for university and professionals, English for business, English for specific purpose, English for kids, university entrance guidance and consultation, and also the open space for community-engagement activities and programs. With the encouragement of full dedication of teaching team and staffs, it strongly believes that TLA will take a major role in developing the quality of people and reducing the social gap in educational and professional opportunities through comprehensive language competency and skills.
